Yet another Union Station

Last night, I was talking about the City Beautiful movement in my urban history class, and I was showing photos of the rash of "union stations" that were built in this circa-1900 era. Today, has posted a new photo of yet another Union Station, this one in Nashville. So here it is in all its turn-of-the-century grandeur! Click the link below to go to Shorpy.

Update on this photo: One of my students has told me that this Union Station in Nashville is now a theater--and a beautiful one at that! Nice to know the building's still there and being treated with respect.
